The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Theoretical Track) is designed for the student interested in doing research in mathematics. It is also a strong preparation for graduate studies. The program is structured to develop mathematical thinking and proof writing skills.
Actuarial Science Track
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Actuarial Science Track) is designed for the student preparing for a career as an actuary. The course work combines a strong foundation in Mathematics and Statistics combined with computing, Economics, and Business. Students completing this degree should have the necessary preparation to attempt the first two Actuarial Exams (P & FM).
The Program offers options for additional study for all students, regardless of their major field of study. A strong background in mathematics combined with a concentration in another field allows students to make connections between fields that can lead to new opportunities for satisfying careers.
